About In A World ...
In A World...is Nicole Buetti and Dirk Montapert.

Southern California grown Dirk was brought up on the music of rock legends like The Beatles, Queen, Bowie, 70's Prog Rock, Depeche Mode and The Cure.  He began as a bass player and lead singer in a Progressive Rock Band named "Imagery".  Dirk soon branched out and began playing guitar, keyboard and drums.  He was soon a one-man-band and began writing and recording entire songs on his own.
He went to college and received a Teacher's Degree, but chose to pursue his music instead.  Little did Dirk know, his children's studies in college would come in handy further down the road when he and Nicole created the first of their Children's collection of music and stories.
Dirk worked in Hollywood for over 6 years as a Music Supervisor at one of the leading trailer houses in the world.  While, there, Dirk had the opportunity to write music for movie trailers and tv commercials, and he soon learned that his writing was not limited to only pop-rock.  Dirk's creativity and musical diversity have helped him to achieve music placements and performances around the Globe.  He is not only a musician, but also a prolific lyricist, artist and Producer.

Colorado girl, Nicole, was raised on the works of Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, John Williams, David Arnold,  and Michael Kamen.  Nicole began playing the piano at the age of 6.  She soon realized that music was all she wanted to do.  Nicole began bringing home all sorts of instruments, determined to learn how each one worked.  She began composing and completed her first piano piece at the age of 8.  Over the years, Nicole learned and performed on the piano, flute, bass, melophone, sousaphone, saxophone, and finally landed on her main instrument, The Bassoon.  She graduated with highest honors from the University of Northern Colorado, with two degrees:  Bassoon Performance and Music Theory and Composition.  Nicole then ventured out to the unknown...Los Angeles.  Here she got a job as Music Supervisor in Hollywood.  Soon she was asked to write music for film and TV advertisements.  On the side, Nicole continued her bassoon performance in several local orchestras, and composed scores for several independent films.  Currently, her music can be heard around the world.  In addition to being an instrumentalist and vocalist, Nicole is also a Graphic artist, recording engineer, author and producer.

In A World...'s first self-titled album has been described as "Pop-Noir".  Since then, they have become master haunters and sound-designers,  as well as film score and children's music creators.   Take a listen and hear for yourself!

Here’s what some people are saying about Our Halloween Music:

“It’s awesome. An engaging blend of music and sound effects, it’s evocative of a number of musical influences while retaining its own original style - at times genuinely haunting and creepy, at other times with a kick-ass beat!  I buy a lot of haunted house, Halloween and Sound FX CDs every year, and this is one of the best ones I heard this year, hands down. Highly recommended.”
